We have a gift. A lovely, helpful, beautiful gift.
We did not seek education and training for the gift.
The learning came after the gift appeared.
Should one sell a gift? Is it ours to gain financial benefit?

In meditation, I see a farmer.
Farmers acquire seed.
They till the land, plant, and waters crops.
Harvest time comes; crops are gathered; a market found; crops sold.
The earth that cocoons the seed, feeds the stalk, and provides life for the growing crop was a gift for the farmer from another realm.

The rains and waters savored throughout the tilled rows of flourishing produce were given as a gift to those seeking to work the land for others.

Our gift of knowing - seeing - understanding - living between worlds - (seeing/knowing the unknowable) - having eyes that others have not yet formed - is no less necessary for in our world than the earth and water is for the farmer.

I've wrestled with the idea of whether such a gift was designed to make one financially buoyant?

My recent inquiry concerning financial freedom has pointed me toward the spiritual side of life? (Cards and meditation).

I now believe this gift - this hobby - this part of the great mystery that I've been allowed to share in, should not be withheld from others anymore than a farmer should ever withhold the food they produce.

Nor do I believe it is wrong to ask a reasonable token for the work provided. It is spiritually as essential as the food a farmer brings to the market.

How much commerce to accept - how much to charitably share - and how much such a proficiency is worth, is yet to be decided.
Just a thought after a bit of meditation today. Enjoy the words - have a great safe day and night.

I had a reading done a woman many ,many years ago , you only found her by word word of mouth. All you got was phone number and when she answered you would ask if she was doing readings ..she would either say yes or not today...she was an older woman and only did it by phone (before caller id) she was incredibly accurate, insightful and kind and when I asked her how to pay she said if I wanted , to send a check for what I thought was appropriate ! I paid her well ! Such a rare person indeed (like mama bear) ! But as I said, it was a long time ago and i think, a more trusting time.. I never forgot that reading..

With many things like this, its the learning and knowledge learnt that had to be paid for in some way by you. So some kind of payment for you passing on that knowledge should surely be warrented.

I have a knowledge of essential oils and do feel that i warrent some kind of payment if asked for a blend for something within my capeabilities.

I do have to buy all thats required, keeping in my stock basics. Then i may have to spend more time researching, cross refrencing and triple checking everything before o move forward with a blend.

There are certain things i wont deal with and have told a few to go seek the advice from a doctor.

The only blend i do NOT request a payment for, is one i developed specifically for thosestruggling to sleep due to the Night terrors of PTSD. My own Dr encouraged me to devise a massage blend when Stu was not sleeping well at all. She said it would be some much beter than Sleeping meds.

As i said its one i SHARE to anyone in need. Yes it has been tried and tested for over 14 years World wide. I do get the warm fuzzies when i get the feedback of how well it has worked for another sufferer.

I have many talents that I see as gifts and abilities.
I am a technology geekette
I am an avid artist/crafter - paper, bead, mixed media
I love to bake and people LOVE my creations (2 star confectionery chef)
I have training/certs in business development, project management, product development, sqa, crisis management, social media, tech writer, etc.
I am a trained and certified spiritual/life transformation coach
I am a divination specialist
I am an eclectic witch

I live in the modern world where bills happen, money is the prime exchange and things like bartering/trade/fair exchange are also part of the equation.

I believe that all of the above are gifts, and talents. I believe that sometimes my exchange is selling, charging money for that exchange. Sometimes it's bartering/trading.

And sometimes I freely gift it so the Universe continues to provide me those back.

Don't just get caught into one aspect of thinking. There are a million ways to do exchange - even for gifts.

Some amazing talents and accomplishments you have. (If only you were single? haha. Kidding).

Yes indeed, the people are buying time, experience, knowledge, understanding, and wisdom from you (everyone).
It is how the world works, as you mentioned.

Thank you for giving thought to my post. You've helped me have a clearer vision of what's right in such a chaotic world.
Thank you, TheLastChanceCrone.

Beautiful story, Tina.

It put me in mind of the many times throughout life when someone would mention or say something "off-handedly", that opened my mind and changed my direction.

Gifted people (like our MamaBear) are indeed rare.
I miss her daily videos.

They were more like waking to breakfast with a family, hearing the wisdom of mother as we sat across from one another playing with our food.
I know for me, her readings and insights (knowledge and wisdoms) set the mood for my entire day.

Simply being part of her world that was filled with so much love and entertainment (as well as the readings), was the best part of the day for many of us.
However, the little rascal had got so busy with important matters that she had to limit a few things, like her daily visits. Sad, but probably beneficial in other areas of the universe.

I am not so sure about right or wrong, as I think that it can be both and neither at the same time. (Said the wishy-washy Piscean man). 😁

I have never seen myself as having gifts. However, for some reason, I am the one everyone tells their life story to. As I began to look at my gifts or abilities, I find that I am an empathic, clairsentient, precognitive dreamer, and lightworker who can sense things and know things without actually knowing beforehand. *(Unfortunately, haven't developed these abilities as much as I would like so there is a new goal for my golden years).

Would I ever charge for help if I were to become proficient with my abilities?.... my answer is, it depends. Is this something that is needed? I think I would let my gut tell me if someone needs a break and therefore decide not to charge that individual. But Most of the time I think it is only fair because of the energy exchange.

Anyway, that's my tiny two cents....do what "feels" right to you, then there are hopefully no regrets.
